Recap: BIVR Awareness Weekend in London

The 2017 BIVR Awareness Weekend was a huge success! Kimberlee Castro, CSR and Optima Juris’ Director of Scheduling, covered the entire event with real-time updates, pictures, and videos, as events were happening.  In case you missed Kimberlee’s extensive live coverage here is a recap of the BIVR Awareness Weekend’s presentations and outings.

Day One: A Lesson in Legal London History – from then until now

Day one was a full day of touring and education! We learned so much about London’s legal history and architecture. Places attendees visited: The Inns of Court and Temple Bar, Royal Courts of Justice, and The Knights Templar Public House. Here’s Kimberlee recap for day one:

Day Two: Presentations, Popcorn, and Prosecco

Day two of the BIVR was full of amazing presentations from industry experts. To cap off the fun day, we nibbled on some popcorn and Prosecco while we relaxed and watched a screening of “For the Record: A Court Reporting Documentary.”  Check out the twitter highlights of day two:

Day Three: Cruise along the River Thames

Day 3 of the BIVR conference was all about rest and relaxation. We took a leisurely and beautiful cruise along the River Thames. The city is filled with so much amazing architecture. We saw the Tower Bridge, Big Ben, and many important landmarks, including St Paul’s Cathedral, as well as the London Eye and the swings located next to it, which is a huge ferris wheel.

Day Four: London Expo at the Law Society

This year’s expo hall featured targeted exhibitors showcasing the latest industry products, services, and technology. We had a blast exhibiting our services and speaking with new and veteran court reporters.
